Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450 g) ground beef
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 can (15 oz) red kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can (15 oz) pinto beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can (15 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tbsp chili powder

Instructions

  1. Cook the Beef & Onion:
    • In a large pot, brown the ground beef over medium heat.

  3. Season:
    • Add chili powder, cumin, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  4. Add Broth & Simmer:
    • Pour in beef broth.
    • Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low.
    • Cover and simmer for 30–40 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Adjust & Serve:
    • Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
    • Serve hot, optionally topped with shredded cheese, chopped onions, or crackers.
