🐖 Slow Cooker Pork Shoulder Roast (Fall-Apart Tender!)
Pork shoulder is perfect for slow cooking—it turns super juicy, flavorful, and shred-ready.
🧾 Ingredients
- 1.5–2.5 kg pork shoulder (also called pork butt)
- 2 tbsp oil
- 1 tbsp garlic (minced or powder)
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1–2 tsp salt
- 1 onion (sliced)
- 1 cup broth (chicken or beef)
- Optional: 2–3 potatoes & carrots
👩🍳 Instructions
- Season the meat
Rub pork with oil, garlic, paprika, salt, and pepper. - Layer the slow cooker
Put onions (and veggies if using) on the bottom, then place pork on top. - Add liquid
Pour broth around the meat (not directly on top to keep seasoning intact). - Cook low & slow
- LOW: 8–10 hours
- HIGH: 5–6 hours
- Shred or slice
Once tender, shred with forks or slice. Spoon juices over the top.
