2. Assemble
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Spread the meat mixture evenly in a baking dish.
- Spoon mashed potatoes over the top and spread evenly.
- Sprinkle cheese on top if using.
3. Bake
- Bake 20–25 minutes until hot and lightly golden on top.
4. Serve
- Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
