🌮 Seven Layer Taco Salad (Don’t Lose This Recipe!)

A colorful, crunchy, creamy layered salad that’s perfect for parties, potlucks, or easy dinners.


🥗 Ingredients:

Layer 1:

  • 1 head iceberg lettuce (shredded)

Layer 2:

  • 1 can refried beans (or seasoned mashed beans)

Layer 3:

  • 1 cup sour cream (or Greek yogurt)

Layer 4:

  • 1 cup salsa (thick style works best)

Layer 5:

  • 1–1.5 cups shredded cheddar cheese

Layer 6:

  • 1 cup diced tomatoes

Layer 7:

  • 1/2 cup sliced black olives (optional)

🌶 Optional add-ins:

  • Seasoned ground beef or chicken
  • Green onions
  • Jalapeños
  • Avocado or guacamole

🥣 Instructions:

  1. In a clear glass bowl, start with shredded lettuce.
  2. Spread refried beans evenly over the lettuce.
  3. Add sour cream as the next layer.
  4. Spoon salsa over the sour cream.
  5. Sprinkle shredded cheese.
  6. Add tomatoes on top.
  7. Finish with olives (and any extras you like).

  • Don’t mix before serving—serve by scooping downward through layers.
  • Chill for 30–60 minutes for best flavor.
