Roast beef, potatoes, and cabbage

That’s a classic hearty meal 🍖🥔🥬—perfect for a cozy dinner. Here’s a simple way to make Roast Beef with Potatoes and Cabbage:


🥩 Roast Beef

Ingredients

  • 2–3 lb beef roast (chuck, rump, or sirloin)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp dried thyme or rosemary

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Rub roast with oil, salt, pepper, garlic, and herbs.
  3. Sear roast in a hot skillet for 3–4 minutes per side.
  4. Place roast in a roasting pan with a little beef broth and cook 1½–2 hours until desired doneness.
  5. Let rest 10 minutes before slicing.

🥔 Roasted Potatoes

Ingredients

  • 4–5 potatoes, cut into chunks
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt, pepper, and paprika

Instructions

  1. Toss potatoes with oil and seasoning.
  2. Roast alongside the beef for 45–50 minutes, turning halfway through.

🥬 Boiled Cabbage

Ingredients

  • 1 small head cabbage, chopped
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • Salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Boil cabbage in salted water for 10–15 minutes until tender.
  2. Drain and toss with butter, salt, and pepper.

🍽️ Serving

Slice the roast beef and serve with potatoes and cabbage. Pour any pan juices or gravy over the top for extra flavor.
