A Muffuletta is a famous, hearty sandwich that comes from New Orleans and was made popular by Central Grocery. It’s known for its bold mix of Italian meats, cheeses, and a tangy olive salad—all packed into a round loaf of bread.


🥪 What’s in a Muffuletta?

Bread:

  • Round Italian or sesame loaf (soft inside, slightly crisp outside)

Meats:

  • Salami
  • Ham
  • Mortadella

Cheeses:

  • Provolone
  • Mozzarella

Signature Olive Salad (the star!):

  • Green & black olives (chopped)
  • Garlic
  • Capers
  • Roasted red peppers
