🛒 Ingredients (Serves 2–4)

  • 2–4 pork chops or beef chops (about 1-inch thick)
  • 1–2 tbsp olive oil or butter
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp garlic powder (optional)
  • ½ tsp paprika or smoked paprika (optional)
  • Optional: fresh herbs like rosemary or thyme

🍳 Instructions

1️⃣ Prep the Meat

  • Pat chops dry with paper towels.
  • Season both sides with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.

2️⃣ Cook the Meat

Pan-Sear Method:

  • Heat olive oil or butter in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Sear chops 3–5 minutes per side until golden brown.
  • Reduce heat to medium and cook another 3–5 minutes until internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C) for pork or desired doneness for beef.

Oven Method (Optional):

  • Sear chops in skillet for 2 minutes per side.
  • Transfer to preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) and bake 10–15 minutes until done.

3️⃣ Rest & Serve

  • Let meat chops rest 5 minutes before serving to retain juices.
  • Serve with vegetables, rice, potatoes, or gravy.

  • Marinate chops in olive oil, garlic, and herbs for 30 minutes before cooking for extra flavor.
  • Bone-in chops tend to stay juicier than boneless.
