1. Make the meat sauce
- Sauté onion and garlic until soft
- Add ground meat, cook until browned
- Stir in crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, oregano, salt, and pepper
- Simmer 10–15 min
2. Prepare cheese mixture
- Mix ricotta, egg, and half of the mozzarella
3. Assemble lasagna
- Spread a layer of meat sauce in a baking dish
- Add a layer of noodles
- Spread some cheese mixture
- Repeat layers, finishing with meat sauce and remaining mozzarella
4. Bake
- Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F)
- Cover with foil, bake 25–30 min
- Remove foil, bake 10–15 min until cheese is golden
5. Rest
- Let sit 10 min before slicing for cleaner pieces
