If you’ve ever seen these on your jeans, you’re not alone! Read the reasons in 1st comment

They’re talking about the small metal studs on jeans (usually near pockets). Those are called rivets.

👖 Why jeans have those metal pieces:

  • Strengthen weak points: Jeans get stress at pocket corners and seams. Rivets stop the fabric from tearing.
  • Make jeans last longer: They reinforce areas that would otherwise wear out quickly.
  • Workwear origin: Jeans were first made for miners and workers, so durability was important.

🧵 What about the button and stitching?

  • The metal button (rivets + button fly) also helps jeans hold up under heavy use.
  • The double stitching works together with rivets for extra strength.

So those “random metal dots” aren’t decoration—they’re actually there to make your jeans tougher and longer-lasting.
