There isn’t a medical limit on how long a woman (or anyone) can live without physical intimacy. People can go indefinitely without sex or physical intimacy and still live completely healthy lives.
What does change is not survival, but emotional and psychological wellbeing, and that varies a lot from person to person:
- Some people feel perfectly fine without physical intimacy if they have emotional connection, friends, family, or other forms of closeness.
- Others may feel loneliness, stress, or frustration if their need for touch, affection, or bonding isn’t being met.
- Physical intimacy itself isn’t required for health in the same way food, water, or sleep are.
Also, “physical intimacy” can mean different things:
- Sex
- Affection (hugging, cuddling, holding hands)
- Emotional closeness and feeling desired
A lack of any of these can affect mood or mental health for some people, but it’s not harmful in a biological “lifespan” sense.
If you’re asking because of something personal—like feeling distant in a relationship or worried about needs not being met—I can help you think through that too.
