🍲 Hearty Beef with Green Chile & Potatoes
A warm, comforting one-pot meal with tender beef, soft potatoes, and a flavorful green chile kick 🌶️🥔
Ingredients:
- 500g beef (ground beef or small beef cubes)
- 3–4 medium potatoes, peeled and diced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2–3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1–2 green chilies, chopped (adjust to taste)
- 1 cup green chile sauce (or roasted blended green chilies)
- 1 cup beef broth or water
- 2 tbsp oil
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp salt
- Optional: fresh cilantro for garnish
Instructions:
- Sauté aromatics
Heat oil in a large pan. Cook onion and garlic until soft and fragrant. - Brown the beef
Add beef and cook until fully browned. - Season
Stir in cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper. - Add potatoes
Mix in diced potatoes so they absorb the flavor. - Add green chile + liquid
Pour in green chile sauce and broth. Stir well. - Simmer
Cover and cook on low-medium heat for 20–30 minutes, until potatoes are tender and sauce thickens. - Finish & serve
Taste, adjust seasoning, and garnish with cilantro if desired.
