Here’s a simple and delicious Crescent Danish recipe—flaky pastry filled with sweet cream cheese or fruit. 🥐🍓


🥐 Crescent Danish

🛒 Ingredients (Serves 6–8)

  • 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup fruit preserves or fresh fruit (strawberries, blueberries, or apricot)
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Optional: powdered sugar for glaze

🍳 Instructions

1️⃣ Preheat Oven

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2️⃣ Prepare Filling

  • In a small bowl, mix cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until smooth.

3️⃣ Assemble Danish

  • Unroll crescent dough and separate into triangles.
  • Spread a spoonful of cream cheese mixture onto the wide end of each triangle.
  • Add a small amount of fruit preserves or fresh fruit on top of the cream cheese.
  • Roll dough from the wide end toward the point to form the Danish.
  • Place on prepared baking sheet.

4️⃣ Egg Wash

  • Beat egg and brush lightly over the tops of the Danishes for a golden finish.

5️⃣ Bake

  • Bake 12–15 minutes or until golden brown.

6️⃣ Optional Glaze

  • Drizzle with powdered sugar glaze (mix powdered sugar with a little milk) once cooled slightly.

💡 Tips

  • Use room temperature cream cheese for easy spreading.
  • Mini chocolate chips can be added for a chocolate twist.
  • Serve warm for the flakiest, most indulgent taste.
