Creamy Parmesan Potatoes

Creamy Parmesan potatoes are a rich and cheesy side dish featuring tender potatoes baked or cooked in a creamy sauce with Parmesan cheese. They pair wonderfully with chicken, steak, or roasted vegetables.

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs potatoes, peeled and sliced into ¼-inch rounds
  • 1 cup heavy cream or half-and-half
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2–3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Optional: fresh herbs like thyme, rosemary, or parsley

Instructions

1. Preheat oven

  • Preheat to 375°F (190°C).

2. Prepare the cream mixture

  • In a small saucepan, heat cream, butter, garlic, salt, and pepper until warm.

3. Layer the potatoes

  • In a greased baking dish, layer potato slices evenly.
  • Pour cream mixture over potatoes.
  • Sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top.

4. Bake

  • Cover with foil and bake 35–40 minutes.
  • Remove foil and bake an additional 10–15 minutes until cheese is golden and potatoes are tender.

5. Serve

  • Garnish with fresh herbs and serve hot.

Tips

  • Use Yukon Gold or red potatoes for creamier texture.
  • Slice potatoes evenly for uniform cooking.
  • For extra flavor, add a pinch of nutmeg or smoked paprika to the cream mixture.

🥔 Serving Idea: These creamy potatoes make a perfect side for roast chicken, steak, or holiday dinners.

I can also give you a slow-cooker version of creamy Parmesan potatoes if you want a hands-off approach.
