Here’s a copycat recipe for Cracker Barrel Meatloaf—rich, savory, and just like the comfort-food classic:


Ingredients

For the Meatloaf:

  • 2 lbs ground beef
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ cup milk
  • 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce

  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder (optional)

For the Glaze:

  • ½ cup ketchup
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven:

  2. Mix the Meatloaf:
    • In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, onion, eggs, milk, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
    • Mix gently until just combined—don’t overwork, or meatloaf will be dense.
  3. Shape and Place in Pan:
    • Shape into a loaf and place in a greased 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  4. Prepare the Glaze:
    • In a small bowl, mix ketchup, brown sugar, and mustard.
    • Spread half over the top of the meatloaf.
  5. Bake:
    • Bake for 60–70 minutes, brushing with remaining glaze halfway through.
    • Meatloaf is done when internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
  6. Rest and Serve:
    • Let rest 10 minutes before slicing. Serve with mashed potatoes, green beans, or your favorite sides.
