  • 3 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 large egg

For the Cinnamon Swirl:

  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp melted butter

Optional Glaze:

  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 1–2 tsp milk or cream
  • ¼ tsp vanilla extract

1. Prepare the Dough

  • In a bowl, combine warm milk, yeast, and 1 tsp sugar. Let sit 5–10 minutes until foamy
  • In a large bowl, mix flour, salt, and remaining sugar
  • Add yeast mixture, melted butter, and egg
  • Knead 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic
  • Cover and let rise 1–1.5 hours until doubled in size

2. Prepare the Cinnamon Swirl

  • Mix brown sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl
  • Melt butter separately

3. Shape the Bread

  • Roll dough into a rectangle (~12×8 inches)
  • Brush with melted butter
  • Sprinkle cinnamon-sugar evenly over the top
  • Roll dough tightly from the long side, pinch edges to seal
  • Place seam-side down in a greased loaf pan
  • Cover and let rise 30–45 minutes

4. Bake

  • Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F)
  • Bake 30–35 minutes until golden brown and hollow-sounding when tapped
  • Cool slightly before slicing

5. Optional Glaze

  • Mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla
  • Drizzle over cooled bread for extra sweetness
