Here’s a simple way to make Candied Orange Slices—they look fancy, taste sweet and citrusy, and are great for desserts, tea, or gifting.


🍊 Candied Orange Slices

Ingredients

  • 2–3 medium Orange (washed well)
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 cups water
  • Optional: extra sugar for coating or chocolate for dipping

Instructions

1. Slice the oranges

  • Cut oranges into thin slices (about 0.5 cm thick).
  • Remove any seeds.

2. Make syrup

  • In a pan, combine sugar and water.
  • Heat until sugar fully dissolves.

3. Simmer gently

  • Add orange slices to the syrup.
  • Simmer on low heat for 45–60 minutes, turning occasionally.
  • The peel will become soft and slightly translucent.

4. Dry the slices

  • Place slices on a wire rack or parchment paper.
  • Let them dry for 12–24 hours until sticky but firm.

5. Optional finish

  • Roll in sugar for extra sparkle, or
  • Dip half in melted chocolate for a dessert-style treat.

💡 Tips
