🥩 Beef Liver and Onions (Tender & Flavorful)

Ingredients:

  • 500 g beef liver, sliced
  • 2 large onions, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup milk (for soaking)
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3–4 tbsp oil or butter
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Optional: garlic powder, paprika

Instructions:

1. Soak the Liver (Important!)

  • Place liver in milk for 30–60 minutes
    👉 This reduces bitterness and improves texture.

2. Prepare the Onions

  • Heat 1–2 tbsp oil or butter in a pan
  • Cook onions on medium heat until soft, golden, and slightly caramelized
  • Remove and set aside

3. Coat the Liver

  • Mix flour with salt, pepper, and optional spices
  • Lightly dredge each piece of liver (shake off excess)

4. Cook the Liver

  • In the same pan, add more oil if needed
  • Cook liver slices for 2–3 minutes per side

5. Combine & Finish

  • Return onions to the pan
  • Cook together for another 1–2 minutes
  • Taste and adjust seasoning
