🍗 Barbecue Chicken

🛒 Ingredients (Serves 4–6)

  • 4–6 bone-in chicken pieces (thighs, drumsticks, or breasts)
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp garlic powder (optional)
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika (optional, for smoky flavor)

🍳 Instructions

1️⃣ Prep the Chicken

  • Pat chicken dry and rub with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika.

2️⃣ Cook the Chicken

Oven Method:

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Place chicken on a baking sheet lined with foil.
  • Bake 35–45 minutes, brushing with barbecue sauce during the last 10–15 minutes.

Grill Method (Optional):

  • Preheat grill to medium-high heat.
  • Grill chicken 6–8 minutes per side, basting with barbecue sauce in the last 5 minutes.

3️⃣ Serve

  • Let chicken rest 5 minutes before serving.
  • Serve with extra barbecue sauce on the side and your favorite sides like coleslaw, baked beans, or corn on the cob.

  • For deeper flavor, marinate chicken in barbecue sauce for 1–2 hours before cooking.
  • Use a meat thermometer: 165°F (74°C) for safely cooked chicken.
  • Bone-in cuts stay juicier than boneless.
