Apple fritters
Apple fritters are sweet, fried pastries made with chopped apples mixed into a spiced dough, then fried until golden and often drizzled with glaze or dusted with sugar. They’re a classic breakfast or dessert treat.

- In another bowl, beat eggs with milk, melted butter, and vanilla.
- Stir wet ingredients into dry ingredients until just combined.
- Fold in chopped apples.
2. Fry the fritters
- Heat oil in a skillet or deep fryer to 350°F (175°C).
- Drop spoonfuls of batter into hot oil and fry 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown.
- Drain on paper towels.
3. Glaze (optional)
- Mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth.
- Drizzle over warm fritters.
Tips
- Use tart apples like Granny Smith for balance with the sweetness.
- Don’t overcrowd the pan; fry in batches for even cooking.
- Serve warm for the best flavor and texture.
