Slow Cooker Buttered Potatoes & Onions 🥔🧈🧅

Simple, cozy, and packed with flavor—this is an easy “dump and go” side dish!


📝 Ingredients:

  • 4–5 medium potatoes (chunked)
  • 1 large onion (sliced)
  • 3–4 tbsp butter
  • Salt & black pepper (to taste)
  • Optional: garlic, paprika, parsley, chili flakes

👩‍🍳 Instructions:

1. Prep Everything

  • Peel (optional) and cut potatoes into chunks.
  • Slice onions.

2. Add to Slow Cooker

  • Put potatoes and onions in the slow cooker.
  • Add butter on top.
  • Sprinkle salt, pepper, and any extras.

3. Cook

  • Low: 6–7 hours
  • High: 3–4 hours
  • Stir once halfway if possible.

4. Finish & Serve

  • Potatoes should be tender and buttery.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley or a little extra butter.

🔥 Tips:

  • Add a splash of chicken broth for extra flavor.
  • For crispy edges, spread cooked potatoes on a tray and broil for 5–7 minutes.
  • Toss in shredded cheese at the end for a richer version.
