Stuffed Shells with Ground Beef 🍝

This is a rich, cheesy, and comforting dish—perfect for family dinners!


🧾 Ingredients

  • 20–25 jumbo pasta shells
  • 1 lb (450g) ground beef
  • 1 small onion (finely chopped)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1½ cups ricotta cheese
  • 1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese (divided)
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt & pepper (to taste)
  • Fresh parsley (optional)

👩‍🍳 Instructions

1. Cook the pasta

  • Boil the shells in salted water until al dente.
  • Drain and let them cool.

2. Prepare the beef filling

  • In a pan, cook ground beef with chopped onion until browned.
  • Add garlic, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  • Cook for another minute, then remove from heat.

3. Mix the cheese filling

  • In a bowl, combine ricotta, egg, Parmesan, and 1 cup mozzarella.
  • Stir in the cooked beef mixture.

4. Stuff the shells

  • Fill each shell with the beef-cheese mixture.

5. Assemble

  • Spread 1 cup marinara sauce in a baking dish.
  • Arrange stuffed shells on top.
  • Pour remaining sauce over them and sprinkle remaining mozzarella.

6. Bake

  • Cover with foil and bake at 375°F (190°C) for 25 minutes.
  • Remove foil and bake another 10 minutes until bubbly and golden.

🌿 Tips

  • Add spinach for extra nutrition
  • Swap beef with chicken or turkey if you like
  • Serve with garlic bread or a fresh salad
