Meatballs and Potatoes (Slow Cooker)
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef (or frozen meatballs)
- 4–5 potatoes, peeled and cut into chunks
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 packet onion soup mix (optional but flavorful)
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- Optional: 1 cup carrots
If Making Homemade Meatballs
Mix together:
- 1 lb ground beef
- ½ cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
Form into small meatballs.
Instructions
- Layer ingredients
- Put potatoes and onions in the bottom of the slow cooker.
- Place meatballs on top.
- Add liquid and seasoning
- Pour in beef broth.
- Sprinkle onion soup mix, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Add Worcestershire sauce.
- Cook
- Cook on LOW for 6–7 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours.
- Optional gravy
- If you want thicker gravy, mix 1 tbsp cornstarch with 2 tbsp water and stir in during the last 20 minutes.
