Million Dollar Chicken Casserole

Posted on March 13, 2026 by Admin

Ah, Million Dollar Chicken Casserole—rich, creamy, cheesy, and super comforting! Here’s a classic version:

Million Dollar Chicken Casserole

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups cooked chicken, shredded or cubed (rotisserie works great)
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (plus extra for topping)
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Salt & pepper, to taste
  • Optional topping: crushed buttery crackers or breadcrumbs

Steps:

  1. Preheat Oven:
    • 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch casserole dish.
  2. Make the Creamy Filling:
    • In a large bowl, mix cream of chicken soup, cream cheese, cheddar cheese, sour cream, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  3. Add Chicken:
    • Fold in the cooked chicken until evenly coated.
  4. Assemble the Casserole:
    • Pour mixture into the prepared dish.
    • Top with extra shredded cheese and optional crushed crackers or breadcrumbs for crunch.
  5. Bake:
    • Cover with foil and bake 25–30 minutes.
    • Remove foil and bake another 10 minutes until bubbly and golden on top.
  6. Serve:
    • Let cool 5 minutes before serving.
    • Great over rice, pasta, or with a side of veggies.

If you want, I can also give a quick stovetop version that combines everything in one pot and skips the oven—ready in about 20 minutes but just as creamy and cheesy.

Do you want me to do that version?
