Breaded chicken

Breaded Chicken is a simple, crispy dish where chicken is coated with seasoned breadcrumbs and then baked, fried, or air-fried until golden.


Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (plain or Italian)
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • Oil for frying (or cooking spray for baking)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Chicken

  • Slice chicken breasts into thinner cutlets or strips.
  • Season lightly with salt and pepper.

2. Set Up Breading Stations

  • Bowl 1: Flour
  • Bowl 2: Eggs, beaten
  • Bowl 3: Breadcrumbs mixed with garlic powder and paprika

3. Coat the Chicken

  1. Dredge chicken in flour.
  2. Dip into the beaten eggs.
  3. Coat well with breadcrumbs.

4. Cook

Pan-Fry Method

  • Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  • Fry chicken 4–5 minutes per side until golden and cooked through.

Oven Method

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Place breaded chicken on a greased baking sheet.
  • Bake 20–25 minutes, turning once.

Serving Ideas

Serve with:

  • Mashed potatoes
  • Coleslaw
  • French fries
  • Salad or steamed vegetables
