Parmesan Crusted Chicken

Parmesan Crusted Chicken is a crispy, flavorful chicken dish coated with Parmesan cheese and breadcrumbs, then baked or pan-fried until golden. It’s simple, crunchy on the outside, and juicy inside.


Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs (Italian-style works great)
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or melted butter

Instructions

1. Prepare the Chicken

  • Slice chicken breasts in half lengthwise to make thinner cutlets.
  • Lightly season with salt and pepper.

2. Make the Coating

  • In one bowl: whisk the egg and milk.
  • In another bowl: mix Parmesan, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning.

3. Bread the Chicken

  • Dip each piece of chicken into the egg mixture.
  • Then press into the Parmesan breadcrumb mixture to coat well.

4. Cook

Oven Method (healthier):

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Place chicken on a greased baking sheet.
  • Drizzle lightly with olive oil.
  • Bake 18–22 minutes until golden and cooked through.

Pan-Fry Method (extra crispy):

  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  • Cook chicken 4–5 minutes per side until golden and fully cooked.

Serving Ideas

Serve with:

  • Roasted vegetables
  • Mashed potatoes
  • Pasta or salad
  • Lemon wedges for extra flavor 🍋
