🍖 Meatloaf with Mashed Potatoes & Gravy

🥩 Meatloaf Ingredients:

  • 500g ground beef
  • 1 small onion (finely chopped)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 egg
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce (optional)
  • Salt & pepper to taste

For the glaze (optional but tasty):

  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar

Meatloaf Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Mix all ingredients gently (don’t overmix).
  3. Shape into a loaf and place in a baking dish.
  4. Spread glaze on top (if using).
  5. Bake for 45–55 minutes until cooked through.

🥔 Mashed Potatoes:

Ingredients:

  • 3–4 potatoes (peeled & chopped)
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • ¼–½ cup milk
  • Salt to taste

Steps:

  1. Boil potatoes until fork-tender.
  2. Drain and mash.
  3. Add butter, milk, and salt—mix until smooth and creamy.

🍲 Simple Gravy:

Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 1½ cups beef broth
  • Salt & pepper

Steps:

  1. Melt butter, stir in flour (cook 1–2 mins).
  2. Gradually whisk in broth.
  3. Cook until thickened, season to taste.
