🌯 Tortilla Wraps with Ground Beef

These wraps are hearty, flavorful, and super customizable — perfect for quick dinners or meal prep.


🧾 Ingredients (Serves 4)

For the Beef Filling:

  • 1 lb (450g) ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • ½ tsp chili powder (adjust to taste)
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp tomato sauce or salsa
  • 1 tbsp oil (if needed)

For the Wraps:

  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend)
  • Sour cream or yogurt (optional)
  • Salsa or hot sauce (optional)

👩‍🍳 Instructions

1️⃣ Cook the Beef

  1. Heat a pan over medium heat.
  2. Add ground beef and cook until browned.
  3. Add onion and garlic; cook until soft.
  4. Stir in spices, salt, pepper, and tomato sauce.
  5. Simmer 3–5 minutes. Remove from heat.

2️⃣ Warm the Tortillas

Warm in a dry pan for 20–30 seconds per side or microwave briefly so they’re soft and pliable.


3️⃣ Assemble the Wraps

  1. Place beef mixture in the center.
  2. Add lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, and sauces.
  3. Fold bottom up, then fold sides in, and roll tightly.

🔥 Optional: Toasted Wrap

Place seam-side down in a hot pan for 1–2 minutes per side until golden and slightly crispy.

  • Add black beans or corn for a Tex-Mex twist.
  • Mix taco seasoning for extra spice.
  • Add avocado or guacamole for creaminess.
  • Use whole wheat or spinach tortillas for variety.
