Stove Top Stuffing Meatloaf

Stove Top Stuffing Meatloaf 🍖

This easy meatloaf uses boxed stuffing mix instead of breadcrumbs, which makes it flavorful and very simple to prepare.

Ingredients

  • 1½ lb (about 700 g) ground beef
  • 1 box Stove Top Stuffing Mix (any flavor, such as chicken or turkey)
  • 1 cup water or milk
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ cup ketchup
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped (optional)
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

For the topping (optional):

  • ¼ cup ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon mustard

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Prepare stuffing: In a bowl, mix the stuffing mix with 1 cup hot water and let it sit for 5 minutes.
  3. Mix ingredients: In a large bowl combine ground beef, prepared stuffing, eggs, ketchup, onion, and black pepper. Mix gently.
  4. Shape the meatloaf: Form the mixture into a loaf and place it in a baking dish or loaf pan.
  5. Add topping: Mix ketchup, brown sugar, and mustard and spread over the top.
  6. Bake for 50–60 minutes until fully cooked.
  7. Rest for 5–10 minutes before slicing.

  • Green beans
  • Simple salad 🥗

Tips

  • Use ground turkey or chicken instead of beef for a lighter version.
  • Add cheese in the middle for a stuffed meatloaf.
