🦀 Seafood Boil

A seafood boil is a fun, flavorful, and communal meal where shrimp, crab, crawfish, corn, and potatoes are boiled together with spices—perfect for gatherings!

🧾 Ingredients (Serves 4–6)

  • 1 lb shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • 1 lb crab legs or crawfish
  • 4 small potatoes
  • 2 ears of corn (cut into halves or thirds)
  • 1–2 smoked sausages (sliced)
  • 1 onion (quartered)
  • 4–5 cloves garlic
  • 3–4 tbsp Old Bay seasoning or seafood boil seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: lemon wedges, butter, hot sauce

👩‍🍳 Instructions

1️⃣ Boil the potatoes and corn

  • Fill a large pot with water, add Old Bay, onion, garlic, salt, and pepper.
  • Bring to a boil, add potatoes. Cook 10–12 minutes, then add corn. Cook 5 more minutes.

2️⃣ Add sausage and seafood

  • Add sliced sausage, crab legs, or crawfish.
  • Add shrimp last, cooking 2–3 minutes until pink and opaque.

3️⃣ Drain and serve

  • Drain the boil and pour onto a large platter or newspaper for a communal feast.
  • Serve with lemon wedges, melted butter, or your favorite dipping sauce.

🍽️ Tips

  • For extra flavor, add a splash of beer to the boiling water.
  • Adjust seasoning to taste—spicier for a Cajun kick.
  • Use old-fashioned seafood boil pots for a more authentic experience.
