🥔 Mashed Potatoes

Mashed potatoes are a classic comfort food—creamy, fluffy, and perfect as a side for almost any meal.


🧾 Ingredients (Serves 4)

  • 2 lbs potatoes (Yukon Gold or Russet)
  • ½ cup milk (warm)
  • ¼ cup butter
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Optional: garlic, sour cream, or cream cheese for extra flavor

👩‍🍳 Instructions

1️⃣ Prepare the potatoes

  • Peel and cut potatoes into even chunks.
  • Boil in salted water 15–20 minutes until tender. Drain well.

2️⃣ Mash the potatoes

  • Use a potato masher, fork, or ricer.
  • Add butter and warm milk gradually.

3️⃣ Season

  • Stir in salt and pepper.
  • Add optional ingredients like garlic, sour cream, or cream cheese for extra creaminess.

4️⃣ Serve

  • Serve hot, optionally with a pat of butter on top.

🍽️ Tips

  • For super creamy potatoes, use a ricer and warm milk.
  • Don’t overmix, or potatoes can become gummy.
