Mashed potato

Mashed Potatoes 🥔 (Creamy & Easy)

Ingredients

  • 4 medium potatoes (peeled and cut into chunks)
  • 2–3 tbsp butter
  • ½ cup milk (warm)
  • Salt to taste
  • ÂĽ tsp black pepper (optional)
  • Optional: 1–2 tbsp cream or garlic for extra flavor

Instructions

  1. Boil the potatoes
    • Put the potato chunks in a pot and cover with water.
    • Add a little salt and boil for 15–20 minutes until very soft.
  2. Drain
    • Drain the water completely.
  3. Mash
    • Mash the potatoes using a potato masher or fork until smooth.
  4. Add butter and milk
    • Add butter and slowly mix in warm milk while mashing.
  5. Season
    • Add salt and black pepper to taste.
  6. Serve
    • Mix well until creamy and smooth. Serve warm.

Optional Add-ins

  • Garlic mashed potatoes: Mix in sautĂ©ed garlic.
  • Cheesy mashed potatoes: Add ½ cup shredded cheese.
  • Herb mashed potatoes: Add chopped parsley or chives.
