Here’s a classic Mashed Potatoes 🥔 recipe—creamy, fluffy, and perfect as a side for any meal:


Ingredients

  • 1 kg potatoes (russet or Yukon gold), peeled and cut into chunks
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • ½ cup milk (adjust for desired creaminess)
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Optional: garlic, cream, or sour cream for extra flavor

Instructions

  1. Boil the Potatoes
    • Place potato chunks in a large pot and cover with cold water.
    • Add a pinch of salt.
    • Bring to a boil and cook for 15–20 minutes, until potatoes are tender and easily pierced with a fork.
  2. Drain and Mash
    • Drain potatoes and return to the pot.
    • Add butter and begin mashing.
    • Gradually add milk while mashing until smooth and creamy.
  3. Season
    • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
    • Optional: add roasted garlic, cream, or sour cream for extra richness.
  4. Serve
    • Serve hot as a side dish with gravy, roasted meats, or vegetables.
