Instructions
- Prepare the Meat Sauce
- Heat olive oil in a pan.
- Add chopped onion and garlic; cook until soft.
- Add ground beef and cook until browned.
- Mix in tomato sauce, tomato paste, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper.
- Simmer for about 10–15 minutes.
- Prepare the Cheese Mixture
- In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, egg, and Parmesan cheese.
- Cook the Lasagna Noodles
- Boil lasagna sheets according to package instructions (skip if using oven-ready sheets).
- Layer the Lasagna
- In a greased baking dish:
- Spread a thin layer of meat sauce
- Add a layer of pasta sheets
- Spread cheese mixture
- Add mozzarella cheese
- Repeat layers until ingredients finish.
- In a greased baking dish:
- Bake
- Cover with foil and bake at 180 °C (350 °F) for 25 minutes.
- Remove foil and bake another 10–15 minutes until cheese is melted and golden.
Serving
Let the lasagna rest for 10 minutes before cutting. Serve hot with garlic bread and salad 🥗.
