Jello Mandarin Orange Pineapple Marshmallow Salad

Posted on March 18, 2026 by Admin

Ah, the classic Jello Mandarin Orange Pineapple Marshmallow Salad—sometimes called an orange fluff or dream salad! 🍊🍍✨ It’s sweet, creamy, and perfect for holidays or quick desserts.

Creamy Jello Mandarin Orange Pineapple Marshmallow Salad

Ingredients

  • 1 box (3 oz) orange gelatin (Jell-O)
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1/2 cup cold water
  • 1 can (11 oz) mandarin oranges, well drained
  • 1 can (8 oz) crushed pineapple, well drained
  • 1–1½ cups mini marshmallows
  • 1 cup whipped topping (like Cool Whip)
  • Optional: 1/2 cup cottage cheese or sour cream (for extra creaminess)

Instructions

  1. Dissolve gelatin
    • In a bowl, mix the orange gelatin with boiling water until fully dissolved.
  2. Cool it down
    • Stir in cold water and let it cool slightly.
    • Refrigerate for about 20–30 minutes, until it’s thickened but not set.
  3. Add the goodies
    • Fold in mandarin oranges, pineapple, and marshmallows.
  4. Make it creamy
    • Gently fold in whipped topping (and cottage cheese or sour cream if using).
  5. Chill to set
    • Transfer to a dish and refrigerate 2–4 hours until fully set.
  6. Serve cold
    • Scoop and enjoy that fluffy, fruity goodness!

💡 Helpful Tips

  • Drain fruit really well—extra juice can keep the Jello from setting.
  • For extra texture, add shredded coconut or chopped pecans.
  • Want it lighter and fluffier? Add a bit more whipped topping.

⚡ Quick “No-Wait Fluff Version” (No gelatin setting needed)

  • Skip the boiling step
  • Mix together:
    • 1 box dry orange gelatin (just the powder)
    • 1 tub whipped topping
    • Drained fruit + marshmallows
  • Chill 30–60 minutes and serve

If you want, I can give you a “layered holiday version” that looks beautiful in a glass dish and is perfect for special occasions 🎉
