Posted on March 20, 2026 by Admin

Here’s a flavorful take on Italian Drunken Noodles, a fusion of classic Italian pasta and the bold “drunken noodles” stir-fry style 🍝🔥

🍝 Italian Drunken Noodles

Servings: 2–4

🛒 Ingredients

  • 8 oz pasta (spaghetti, fettuccine, or linguine)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 lb chicken, shrimp, or Italian sausage, sliced
  • 1 bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 small onion, thinly sliced
  • 3–4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup dry white wine (or chicken broth if preferred)
  • 1/2 cup marinara or tomato sauce
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley or basil for garnish
  • Grated Parmesan, for serving

🍽️ Instructions

  1. Cook Pasta
    • Boil pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Cook Protein
    • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
    • Cook chicken, shrimp, or sausage until fully cooked. Remove and set aside.
  3. Sauté Veggies
    • In the same skillet, sauté onion and bell pepper until softened (3–5 minutes).
    • Add garlic and red pepper flakes; cook 1 more minute.
  4. Add Wine & Sauce
    • Pour in white wine and let it reduce slightly (2–3 minutes).
    • Stir in marinara sauce and bring to a simmer.
  5. Combine & Toss
    • Return protein to the skillet.
    • Add cooked pasta and toss to coat evenly.
  6. Serve
    • Garnish with fresh parsley or basil and grated Parmesan.
    • Serve hot with crusty bread if desired.

💡 Tips

  • For extra flavor, sauté vegetables in a mix of butter and olive oil.
  • Add mushrooms, zucchini, or spinach for more texture.
  • For a spicier “drunken” kick, increase red pepper flakes or add a dash of hot sauce.

If you want, I can give a one-pan version of Italian Drunken Noodles that cooks in under 20 minutes with minimal cleanup. Do you want me to do that?
