Here’s a simple, delicious recipe for Impossibly Easy Cheeseburger Pie — a classic comfort food that combines a biscuit or cornbread crust with a cheesy, savory beef filling.


🧀 Ingredients (Serves 4–6)

  • 1 lb (450 g) ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 can (10.5 oz / 300 g) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 cups biscuit mix (like Bisquick)
  • 2 eggs
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: ketchup or mustard for flavor

🍳 Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×9-inch baking dish.
  2. Cook the beef and onions in a skillet over medium heat until beef is browned and onions are soft. Drain excess fat.
  3. Mix the filling: In a bowl, combine the cooked beef and onions, cream of mushroom soup, ½ cup of cheese, milk, and season with salt & pepper.
  4. Prepare the crust: In another bowl, combine biscuit mix and eggs. Stir until blended.
  5. Assemble: Spread half of the crust mixture in the bottom of the baking dish. Pour the beef mixture on top, then spread the remaining crust mixture over the top. Sprinkle the remaining cheese on top.
  6. Bake for 30–35 minutes or until the crust is golden and cooked through.
  7. Cool slightly and serve warm.
