🍲 Hamburger Potato Casserole

Servings: 4–6

🛒 Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450 g) ground beef
  • 4–5 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup (or cream of chicken)
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • Salt & pepper, to taste
  • 1 tsp paprika (optional)

🍽️ Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven
    • Set oven to 350°F (175°C).
    • Grease a baking dish.
  2. Cook the Beef
    • In a skillet, cook ground beef with onion and garlic until browned.
    • Drain excess fat and season with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  3. Make the Sauce
    • In a bowl, mix cream soup with milk until smooth.
  4. Layer the Casserole
    • Layer sliced potatoes on the bottom of the dish.
    • Add a layer of cooked beef mixture.
    • Pour some of the sauce over it.
    • Repeat layers, ending with sauce on top.
  5. Bake
    • Cover with foil and bake for 60 minutes.
  6. Add Cheese
    • Remove foil, sprinkle cheese on top.
    • Bake another 15–20 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly and potatoes are tender.
  7. Serve
    • Let rest 5–10 minutes before serving.
