🌽🥬 Fried Okra in Cornmeal
A crispy Southern-style side dish made by coating fresh okra in seasoned cornmeal and frying until golden.
🧾 Ingredients
- 1 lb fresh okra
- 1 cup cornmeal
- ½ cup all-purpose flour
- 1 egg
- ½ cup buttermilk (or regular milk)

1️⃣ Prepare the okra
- Wash the okra and slice it into ½-inch pieces.

- Dip the sliced okra in the milk mixture, then coat well in the cornmeal mixture.
