Here’s a simple and delicious way to make Cheddar Bacon Chicken! This is a creamy, cheesy, bacon-loaded chicken dish that’s perfect for a weeknight dinner.


Ingredients (for 4 servings)

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 6 slices of bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional, for extra flavor)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or butter
  • Optional garnish: chopped green onions or parsley

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Set your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Prepare Chicken: Pat the chicken breasts dry and season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
  3. Sear Chicken: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken breasts 2–3 minutes per side until lightly golden (they will finish cooking in the oven).
  4. Make Cheese Mixture: In a bowl, combine cream cheese, cheddar cheese (reserve a little for topping), Parmesan, and half the crumbled bacon. Mix until creamy.
  5. Stuff or Top Chicken:
    • Option A – Stuffed: Slice a pocket into each chicken breast and fill with the cheese mixture.
    • Option B – Topped: Place chicken in a baking dish and spread the cheese mixture evenly on top.
  6. Bake: Place the chicken in the oven and bake for 20–25 minutes, until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) and the cheese is bubbly.
  7. Add Remaining Bacon & Cheese: Sprinkle the reserved cheddar and bacon on top in the last 5 minutes of baking for extra crunch and flavor.
  8. Garnish & Serve: Sprinkle chopped green onions or parsley on top. Serve with a side of vegetables, rice, or mashed potatoes.
