Fettuccine is a type of Italian pasta that’s long, flat, and ribbon-like—perfect for creamy sauces like Alfredo or rich tomato-based sauces.


🧾 Ingredients (Basic Fettuccine Pasta)

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour (or 1 cup flour + 1 cup semolina for extra texture)
  • 3 large eggs
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 tsp olive oil (optional)

👩‍🍳 Instructions

1️⃣ Make the dough

  • On a clean surface, make a well with flour.
  • Crack eggs into the center, add salt and olive oil.
  • Slowly mix the flour into the eggs until it forms a dough.

2️⃣ Knead the dough

  • Knead for 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  • Cover with plastic wrap and let rest 30 minutes.

3️⃣ Roll and cut

  • Roll the dough thin using a rolling pin or pasta machine.
  • Cut into ½-inch wide ribbons (fettuccine).
  • Dust with flour to prevent sticking.

4️⃣ Cook the pasta

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to boil.
  • Cook fresh fettuccine for 2–4 minutes (or until al dente).
  • Drain and toss with sauce immediately.
