Here’s a hearty and comforting Crockpot Pierogi Casserole with Kielbasa—easy, cheesy, and perfect for a hands-off meal. 🥔🌭🧀

🥘 Crockpot Pierogi Casserole with Kielbasa

🛒 Ingredients (Serves 4–6)

  • 1 lb frozen pierogi (potato, cheese, or your favorite kind)
  • 1 lb kielbasa, sliced into ½-inch rounds
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (plus extra for topping)
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 bell pepper, chopped (optional)
  • ½ cup sour cream or cream cheese
  • ½ cup milk
  • 2 tbsp butter or olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: 1 tsp paprika or smoked paprika for flavor

🍳 Instructions

1️⃣ Prepare Ingredients

  • Slice kielbasa and chop onion and bell pepper.
  • Lightly sauté kielbasa, onion, and bell pepper in butter or oil for 3–4 minutes (optional, adds extra flavor).

2️⃣ Assemble Crockpot

  • Spray the crockpot with non-stick cooking spray.
  • Layer half of the frozen pierogi at the bottom.
  • Top with half of the kielbasa mixture, half the cheese, and half the milk/sour cream mixture.
  • Repeat layers with remaining pierogi, kielbasa, cheese, and milk/sour cream.

3️⃣ Cook

  • Cover and cook on LOW for 3–4 hours or HIGH for 2–2.5 hours, until pierogi are tender and heated through.

4️⃣ Serve

  • Top with extra cheese or a dollop of sour cream if desired.
  • Garnish with chopped green onions or parsley.

💡 Tips

  • Frozen pierogi can go directly into the crockpot—no need to thaw.
  • Add mushrooms, bacon, or spinach for extra flavor and nutrition.
  • For a creamier casserole, stir in ½ cup cream cheese with the milk before layering.

If you want, I can also give a quick stovetop version of pierogi with kielbasa casserole that’s ready in 30 minutes—still cheesy and delicious. Do you want me to do that?
