🍗 Chicken Noodle Casserole

🛒 Ingredients (Serves 4–6)

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded or diced
  • 3 cups egg noodles (cooked according to package instructions)
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup (or cream of chicken)
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (plus extra for topping)
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 cup frozen peas and carrots (optional)
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs (optional for topping)
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted (for breadcrumbs)

🍳 Instructions

1️⃣ Preheat Oven

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

2️⃣ Cook Noodles & Veggies

  • Cook egg noodles according to package instructions and drain.
  • Steam or microwave frozen peas and carrots if using.

3️⃣ Mix Casserole

  • In a large bowl, combine cooked chicken, noodles, soup, sour cream, cheese, onion, peas and carrots, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Stir until evenly mixed.

4️⃣ Transfer & Top

  • Pour mixture into prepared baking dish.
  • Optional: mix breadcrumbs with melted butter and sprinkle on top, then add extra shredded cheese.

5️⃣ Bake

  • Bake 25–30 minutes, until bubbly and the top is golden brown.

6️⃣ Serve

  • Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.

  • Use rotisserie chicken for a super quick version.
  • Add mushrooms, bell peppers, or cooked bacon for extra flavor.
