Cheesy asparagus

Here’s a simple and tasty way to make cheesy asparagus:

Ingredients:

  • 1 bunch of asparagus, trimmed
  • 2 tbsp olive oil or butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • ½ cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or Parmesan work well)
  • Optional: garlic powder, lemon zest, or breadcrumbs for extra flavor

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Prep asparagus: Wash and trim the tough ends.
  3. Season: Toss asparagus with olive oil, salt, pepper, and optional garlic powder.
  4. Bake: Spread asparagus on a baking sheet in a single layer. Roast for 10–12 minutes, until tender but still slightly crisp.
  5. Add cheese: Sprinkle shredded cheese over the asparagus and return to the oven for 2–3 minutes, or until the cheese melts and bubbles.
  6. Serve: Optionally, sprinkle with lemon zest or breadcrumbs for extra crunch.
