Here’s a savory Beef Cheese Ball 🧀🥩—a great appetizer for parties or snacks with crackers.


Ingredients (Serves 6–8)

  • 225 g (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup cooked ground beef (crumbled and cooled)
  • 2 tbsp sour cream
  • 1 tbsp mayonnaise
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp chopped green onions (optional)

For Coating (optional):

  • ½ cup chopped nuts (pecans or walnuts)
  • or chopped parsley
  • or extra shredded cheese

Instructions

1. Cook the Beef

  • In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned.
  • Drain excess fat and let it cool completely.

2. Mix the Cheese Ball

  • In a bowl, combine cream cheese, cheddar cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper.
  • Add the cooled ground beef and green onions.
  • Mix well until everything is evenly combined.

3. Shape

  • Form the mixture into a ball shape using your hands or plastic wrap.

4. Coat

  • Roll the cheese ball in chopped nuts, parsley, or shredded cheese.

5. Chill

  • Refrigerate for 1–2 hours so it becomes firm.

6. Serve

  • Serve with crackers, toasted bread, or vegetable sticks.

  • Add crispy bacon bits for extra flavor.
  • A pinch of smoked paprika or chili flakes gives it a nice kick.
  • Keeps well in the fridge for 3–4 days.
