Ingredients (1 loaf)

For the Dough:

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour

Instructions

  1. Activate Yeast
    • In a small bowl, dissolve yeast in warm milk. Let sit 5–10 minutes until foamy.
  2. Prepare Dough
    • In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt.
    • Add yeast mixture, melted butter, and egg. Mix until a soft dough forms.
    • Knead for 6–8 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  3. First Rise
    • Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1–1.5 hours, until doubled.
  4. Prepare Cinnamon Filling
    • Mix sugar and cinnamon together in a small bowl.
  5. Shape the Bread
    • Roll dough into a rectangle (~12×9 inches).
    • Brush melted butter over the dough and sprinkle evenly with the cinnamon sugar.
    • Roll dough tightly from the long side and pinch seam to seal.
  6. Second Rise
    • Place the rolled dough seam-side down in a greased 9×5-inch loaf pan.
    • Cover and let rise 30–45 minutes until doubled.
  7. Bake
    • Preheat oven to 350 °F (175 °C).
    • Bake for 30–35 minutes until golden brown.
    • Remove from pan and cool on a wire rack.
  8. Optional Glaze
    • Mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla, then drizzle over cooled bread.
