Beef Stew Recipe

Here’s a classic, hearty beef stew recipe—rich, comforting, and perfect for a family meal:


🥘 Beef Stew (Tender & Flavorful)

🛒 Ingredients

  • 700 g beef (chuck or stewing beef), cut into cubes
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 carrots, sliced
  • 2 potatoes, diced
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 3 cups beef broth
  • 1 tsp salt (adjust to taste)
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 tbsp flour (optional, for thickening)

👩‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Brown the beef
    Heat oil in a large pot. Add beef and sear until browned on all sides. Remove and set aside.
  2. Cook aromatics
    In the same pot, sauté onion until soft. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute.
  3. Build flavor
    Stir in tomato paste and cook for 1–2 minutes.
  4. Simmer
    Return beef to the pot. Add broth, salt, pepper, paprika, thyme, and bay leaf.
    Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 60–90 minutes until beef is tender.
  5. Add vegetables
    Add carrots and potatoes. Cook for another 20–30 minutes until soft.
  6. Thicken (optional)
    Mix flour with a little water, stir into stew, and simmer a few minutes until thickened.

🍽️ Tips

  • For extra richness, add a splash of vinegar or lemon juice at the end.
  • Tastes even better the next day!
  • Serve with bread or rice.
