Wrap potatoes in tin foil and put in crock pot

Posted on March 30, 2026 by Admin

Yep—you can totally do that! 🥔✨

Crock Pot Foil-Wrapped Potatoes (Super Easy!)

What to Do:

  1. Wash & Dry your potatoes (russet potatoes work best).
  2. Poke holes in each potato with a fork (prevents bursting).
  3. Rub with oil (optional) and sprinkle with salt.
  4. Wrap each potato tightly in aluminum foil.
  5. Place them in your slow cooker (no water needed).

Cook:

  • Low: 7–8 hours
  • High: 4–5 hours

What You’ll Get

  • Soft, fluffy inside 🥔
  • Slightly steamed texture (not crispy skin like oven-baked, but still delicious!)

Tips to Make Them Even Better

  • Add a little butter or garlic inside the foil before cooking
  • For crispier skin, unwrap and broil in the oven for 5–10 minutes after
  • Don’t stack too tightly—leave a bit of space for even cooking

Serving Ideas 😋

Top with:

  • Butter & salt
  • Cheese & sour cream
  • Chili
  • Garlic yogurt (great twist!)

💡 Quick Note: You can also skip the foil and place potatoes directly in the crock pot—they’ll still cook great and may even have slightly better texture.
