Slow Cooker Potato Chunks, Butter & Onions 🥔🧈🧅
(This is one of those super simple, throw-it-in-and-forget-it comfort dishes!)


📝 Ingredients:

  • 5–6 medium potatoes (cut into chunks)
  • 1–2 onions (sliced)
  • 4 tbsp butter (cut into pieces)
  • Salt & black pepper (to taste)

Optional: garlic, paprika, herbs, or a splash of broth


👩‍🍳 Instructions:

1. Add to Slow Cooker

  • Put potato chunks in first
  • Add sliced onions on top
  • Scatter butter evenly

2. Season

  • Sprinkle salt and pepper

3. Cook

  • LOW: 6–7 hours (best texture)
  • HIGH: 3–4 hours

4. Finish

  • Gently mix before serving
  • Taste and adjust seasoning

🔥 Easy Variations:

  • Garlic Butter: add minced garlic
  • Cheesy Potatoes: stir in cheddar at the end
  • Herb Style: thyme, parsley, or rosemary
  • Desi Twist: add turmeric, cumin, and green chili 🌶️

💡 Tips:

  • No need to add water—potatoes and onions release moisture
  • Cut evenly for perfect cooking
  • Want crispy edges? Broil for 5 minutes after cooking
