🛒 Ingredients

  • 1 whole red snapper (cleaned & scaled) or fillets
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp turmeric (optional, for color & flavor)
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice or vinegar
  • ½ cup flour or cornmeal (for coating)
  • Oil for frying

  1. Prep fish:
    • Rinse and pat dry.
    • Make 2–3 diagonal cuts on each side (if whole fish).
  2. Season:
    • Rub fish with salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and turmeric.

    • Let marinate for 20–30 minutes.
  3. Coat:
    • Lightly dredge fish in flour or cornmeal for crispiness.
  4. Fry:
    • Heat oil in a pan (medium-high heat).
    • Carefully place fish in hot oil.
