Here’s a simple guide to making fresh beet juice and some ideas for how to enjoy it:


🥤 Fresh Beet Juice

🛒 Ingredients

  • 2–3 medium fresh beets
  • 1 apple (optional, for sweetness)
  • 1 small carrot (optional, for extra flavor)
  • ½ inch ginger (optional, for zing)
  • Water (if needed)

👩‍🍳 Instructions

Using a Juicer:

  1. Wash and peel the beets (and carrot/apple if using).
  2. Cut into small chunks.
  3. Run through the juicer.
  4. Pour into a glass and stir.
  5. Add ice if desired.

Using a Blender (No Juicer):

  1. Wash, peel, and chop beets (and other ingredients).
  2. Add to a blender with ½ cup water.
  3. Blend until smooth.
  4. Strain through a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth to remove pulp.
  5. Serve chilled.

💡 Tips

  • Beet juice stains, so be careful with hands and surfaces.
  • Fresh ginger or lemon juice can brighten the flavor.
  • Drink in small amounts at first; beet juice is potent and can change urine color temporarily.
  • Can mix with carrot or apple juice for a sweeter, milder taste.
